About Tara Reed, founder

My dad's Alzheimer's diagnosis in 2012 changed my life and became the beginning of a new business.

I'm a daughter/caregiver, with professional certifications from the Alzheimer's Association, in the business of helping others struggle less when dementia impacts their family.

Life is hard when you don't know what to expect...

When your loved one seems sweet and "reasonable" in one moment then gets frustrated over something that seems so minor.

At one point my dad's behavior was so unusual for him that we didn't know what to do.

Tara and George Reed - August 2012

My mom was at her wit's end and had a hard time not getting caught up in the moment.

Trying not to take things personally, get upset, annoyed or argue back felt impossible.I didn't know how to help make things better.

The fact of the matter is, we had no idea WHY he was acting the way he was let alone how to respond to it.

We did our best but it wasn't good enough: it was a constant state of struggle, stress and conflict.

I hit the books. I hit the blogs.

I learned as much as I could about what was happening and how to handle it.

What I discovered changed our journey and can change yours too.

This site is full of practical information about resources to help you shorten your learning curve, decrease your stress and navigate the dementia and Alzheimer's journey with as much peace and grace as possible.

Welcome!

This video gives a glimpse at how Alzheimer's has affected my entire family... please watch and share to raise awareness and so no one feels alone on this journey.
